
Elaine Baxter-Trahair
Durham, a community on the eastern edge of the Greater Toronto Area with a population of approximately 750,000.
Elaine has more than 30 years of experience in the public and not-for-profit sectors, including as Director of Toronto Waterfront Revitalization, General Manager-Toronto Children's Services, and Interim Deputy City Manager for the City of Toronto. Elaine's experience is complemented by a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Business Administration. Elaine is a member of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), Association of Municipalities (AMO), Canadian Association of Nuclear Host Communities, Lambda Alpha International – Simcoe Chapter; and Chair of Regional Single Tier Chief Administrative Officers. She has served on a number of boards, including the Ontario Municipal Social Services Association (OMSSA) and WindReach Farm.
