Case Competition Rules
- Each team will comprise four (4) MBA students.
- The case will be released on February 18, 2021. It will be emailed to registered students and the contacts we have for your school as part of the registration process.
- Each team is encouraged to have a case coach and to consult subject matter experts, for example, experts on data privacy or on regulations in your region. The case coach may attend the team(s) presentation(s).
- There will be two rounds of presentations in this case competition. The number of highest scoring teams will be determined by the judges and they will proceed to the final round. The highest scoring team in the final round will be the winning team.
Note: attendance at the final round will be open to all students who participated in the conference/case competition that are not in the final round. Schools that are represented in the final round may ask for permission to invite interested faculty, family members, or friends to view the presentations. Guests are not permitted to identify their schools in any way. They are asked to mute their voice and they may not show their video. - We will use Zoom for the case competition technology platform and you will be provided with a presentation time and Zoom link in advance. You will also have the opportunity to test your mic and slides prior to your presentation. Details to follow.
- Each team is asked to prepare a 20 minute presentation with slides.
- The slides may not identify your school.
- When you present, you may not identify your school in any way.
- Presentations will have a hard stop of 20 minutes. A hard stop 10 minute Q & A will follow.
- All presentations will be created using Google Slides. Each team will be sent a link to a folder where you will create your slides. The slides are due at 5:00 p.m. EST March 4, 2021.
- On March 6, 2021 from 9:45 - 10:00 a.m. ET, there will be welcome remarks and updates might be announced. We recommend that all students and coaches attend this session. If this is not possible, we strongly suggest that 1 representative from each team or school attends this short welcome session.
- Each team may take their “own perspective,” in terms of recommendations. This refers to a Canadian or US perspective. For teams from the US, we have judges who are well-versed in the US market.
