Kareem Henry, MBA-MTI, 2013
Manager, Physical Channels – Caribbean, RBC; MBA-MTI, 2013
Kareem grew up in the Greater Toronto Area and moved to Trinidad & Tobago after completing his undergraduate degree. He worked in the islands for six years, largely in analytics for RBC’s Caribbean operation.
Looking to step up his career, Kareem chose a Ted Rogers MBA because of its proximity to Toronto’s corporate and financial district.
“Without a doubt, the best part about the Ted Rogers MBA was making connections. You don’t get more access to industry than studying on Bay Street,” he says.
Kareem was the first in his class to be hired after graduation – RBC was quick to bring back their former employee in a new role. He now oversees all banking activity in the Caribbean from RBC’s head office in Toronto.
Kareem credits the culture and networking opportunities at Ted Rogers for the success he has enjoyed in his elevated position.
“Working in diverse teams with people from different industries, perspectives, and skills during the MBA program has helped me collaborate in a very diverse working environment,” he says. “I don’t think I could have found that experience anywhere else.”
