Biography

During her undergraduate studies in Graphic Design, Kate Fang discovered a strong interest in user experience design, immersive technology, and digital storytelling. Above all, she is passionate about creating solutions to real-world problems and developing digital environments that are accessible and welcoming to all users. 

Before pursuing a master's degree, Kate worked in marketing and retail, and volunteered at art museums. These experiences and interactions with counterparts, visitors, and consumers deepen her understanding of user psychology, making her work more relatable and understandable. More than ever, she became determined to incorporate user needs and expectations into her designs.

Why Digital Media?

The Master of Digital Media program would be a great opportunity for me to open up the world of a Toronto-based designer who rises to respond to the new generation of the digital world. Upon completion, I aim to be equipped with efficient business insight and design thinking skills. My goal is to join a team where I can continue to develop as a user experience designer, collaborating on the launch of innovative products.
