Biography

Growing up, Fyha has always loved design and creativity. After completing her bachelor's in architecture and working in the field for over a year, she was amused by how products and spaces shape the way people live. Creating and designing products that could make an impact for the users has always been a priority for her. She resonates with the famous quote – ‘Form Follows Function’ believing that function is defined by how users interact with a space and what they need from it.  which led her to pursue UX Design certification from Humber College, Toronto. Now pursuing a master's in digital media, she is eager to blend her creativity with the ever-evolving technology. She is particularly interested in exploring the augmented and virtual reality to enhance her understanding of immersive design and how it can be applied to create more intuitive and engaging user experiences. With a love for creativity and design, she is dedicated to improving lives by crafting thoughtful and user-centered solutions.

Why Digital Media?

Digital media is the creative fusion of art, technology and business for human expression, social interaction and communication. My journey in UX Design and Architecture has allowed me to explore the principles of user-centred design, interactive prototyping, and the creation of seamless and enjoyable user experiences. However, I recognize the evolving landscape of digital media and its profound impact on shaping user interactions and perceptions, which is why I find Masters in Digital Media in Toronto Metropolitan University an ideal program for my future goals.

I also love collaborating with people from diverse creative backgrounds, learning from their perspectives, and pushing the boundaries of design, and the MDM program fosters exactly that kind of environment. It’s also a chance for me to explore storytelling, digital media production, and immersive experiences, all of which align with my goal of creating user-centered, impactful designs. I believe this interdisciplinary approach will help me create meaningful, innovative experiences that connect design and technology in exciting new ways.
