Biography
It was during his days as a middle school student that he discovered his creative streak. Through the attraction of video editing by his favourite bloggers, he soon bought books to learn about 3D modeling by himself. He found it a great form of creative expression and fancy the idea of creating videos and multimedia to bring ideas to life. His love for digital media eventually led him to choose Digital Media Technology as an undergraduate major at the Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication.
The internship at CGPower Education in his junior year has provided invaluable ideas for his graduation thesis, the topic of which is Service of House Roaming based on VR technology. He was responsible for the 3D modeling roaming project.
After graduating, he became an employee at CGPower Education and got to meet many industry professionals who provided him with an in-depth understanding of the most advanced digital technology in the industry. The most fulfilling part to him was that he came into contact with the actual industrialization process of video editing, which allowed him to understand what advanced large-scale video editing projects consist of, what is the workflow of each part, and how the various departments interrelate.
Why Digital Media?
I hope to receive a consequent education in digital media since that was the same major I selected in university. The desire to discover how digital media is developing in foreign countries is another motivation.
Major Research Paper
This research focuses on exploring the possibility of using Architectural Visualization technology with Virtual reality technology to represent and protect ancient residential building of Beijing. Users can roam in a virtualized and lost “San jin” Siheyuan (with three yards) to gain the similar experience as they are visiting a real one.
