Biography

She graduated from the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Art in Iran. She has been working as an architect, graphic, and fashion designer for about 10 years. She worked with several well-known building consultants as an architect, established her own fashion brand in Iran, and also designed logos and brand books as a freelancer.

In her professional career, she acted as a design and simulation liaison with entrepreneurs to take their ideas from concept to product. This has taught her how to effectively navigate through multi-disciplinary teams, and stay focused on the end goals.

Her background and artistic skills have given her a unique insight into user experience design,  and also an appreciation of the challenges of balancing artistic design, media and end-users.

Why Digital Media?

Since technology is becoming a prominent necessity of modern life, I have recognized the power of art to enhance the role that digital technologies play in individual lives, societies, and businesses. In my experience, there is a mutual axiom in any design process; connecting users to the final product through breakthrough innovative approaches and ideas. Now, they are readily transferable to designing digital and virtual arts through Digital Media, and I feel I can utilize my experiences to integrate various digital technologies into existing spaces to offer smart experiences for individuals.

Major Research Paper

This project aims to execute a design concept for blind people to have a better experience in navigation through the TMU campus. I have worked on some of the Google products to make them more accessible for people with low vision. First, Google Glass is redesigned by adding LiDAR technology, face and object recognition, a microphone and bone conduction headphones to connect with Google talkback and live assistant. Also, Location-based AR, and Google talkback with different interfaces were added to Google Maps to make it more accessible for blind and partially sighted people.
