Biography
Daniel studied the Bachelor of Communications at Iberoamerican University in Mexico City. His interests during his studies were TV production, script writing, public relations, and strategic communications. He worked in the same University as an administrative coordinator for assisting scholars, but also counseling students, professors and program candidates. He created a social media account about Olympic sports for promoting Mexican athletes’ achievements and Olympic competitions. He believes that through these platforms he can support young athletes' lives by giving them media attention.
Currently, he is working to be a digital storyteller. His goal is to engage readers in interacting with the narratives and create a community of imagination. He is interested in ebooks, user experience website pages, and educational & narrative apps.
Why Digital Media?
I was interested in the MDM program because it links my passions with the industry. It is an interdisciplinary master's where I can meet people with different expertises and backgrounds. I believe this is the way to innovate and offer creative solutions to our communities.
Major Research Paper
Creating digital stories for teaching to children is not a new approach in the digital storytelling field; however, cultivating empathy through stories is an innovative practice that enhances kids' interaction in an e-learning environment. This project aims to set a standard about creating digital stories considering empathy, storytelling concepts and simplicity throughout the whole experience.
