Biography
With a passion for creation, Zain moved to Canada where he graduated with a Bachelor of Game Design from Brock University. Throughout his undergraduate degree, he indulged himself within a variety of digital media disciplines. From game development, to film production, and social media marketing.
Creativity and curiosity have been the fuel for Zain's quest of knowledge. Thus game development was the perfect fit for him. He enjoys coming up with new ideas, nurture them and develop them into a feasible experience. The same kind of experiences he grew up loving as a child.
Why Digital Media?
The MDM program was specifically intriguing as I was going to work and study in a transdisciplinary environment. As a naturally curious person, I wanted to meet new people, understand new thinking methods, and just continue my journey of learning. It was also an opportunity to get back into the game development business, especially after the last 2 years of lockdowns.
Digital Media is an opportunity to express my creative self without the physical boundaries of the world. I get to bring ideas to life and there is nothing I enjoy more than that.
Major Research Paper
SpaceBuds : An Exploration of Collaborative Game Design Methods
This study aims to explore how game design can foster collaboration and evaluate the effectiveness of different design elements through a series of mini-games. The primary objective of this study is to create a practical application of research findings by demonstrating the design choices made and evaluating the created games.
