Biography

Muxing Zhou graduated from NSCAD University with a degree in Fine Art. During her 4 years in school, she learned about the end-to-end process of making jewelry from scratch. As a part of her curriculum, she learned how to bring customers’ ideas into reality with jewelry designing and making techniques; as well as showcased her jewelry work in local art shows and national exhibitions. After her graduation in 2016, she joined Jewlr.ca as a 3D senior jewelry designer in Toronto. She developed advanced jewelry designing skills by using software like Matrix, Rhino, Photoshop, and illustrator, etc., as well as involved in other aspects of the lifecycle of jewelry making like quality control, production, consumer behavior, and competitor research, etc. She designed over 400 pieces, and most of the designs were best sellers in the company. Alongside this, she has a great passion for art teaching and shares her creative ideas with students. Currently, she is working as a senior artist who help students develop their art portfolio.

Why Digital Media?

As she gains more and more experience in jewelry design, she had a keen interest in the psychology of customers and how to drive more traffic to the website, and also, she is desperate to learn how digital media could impact the marketing and website sales. She believes digital media involved everywhere in daily life.
