Biography:

Harman is innately curious about the mind, brain, and unlocking human consciousness. Through digital media, she plans to explore the ways in which technology can be used to better understand the mind. With an interest in the relationship between science, art, and technology, she intends to answer cognitive science-based questions relating to consciousness. Particularly, altered states of consciousness which are induced through virtual simulations. As an artist, her attempts at expressing consciousness will provide insight into how the mind is altered through expression and visual stimulation. As a developer, she strives to create a virtual reality experience that enlightens and stimulates the conscious mind. Her key interest in consciousness can be attributed to her academic background in psychology and her experience as a research assistant at a psychiatric facility.
