Biography:
Throughout my undergraduate education, I was highly immersed in the field of international relations and political science. I always thought my destiny was to be a civil servant or a diplomat. When I finally worked some jobs in that field, I realized what I thought I would enjoy turned out to be what I was not truly passionate about. Towards the end of my final year at U of T, I decided to change my field and pursue what I was enjoying doing the most in my extracurricular activities: digital media. This is what brought me to the Digital Media program.
My recent work includes building a mobile app prototype called "Studium," which allows students to study efficiently on-the-go by using artificial intelligence to generate practice tests based off notes from lectures or readings. It also lets you incorporate brief mindfulness breaks during study sessions to increase focus and calmness.
Previously, I have worked with the Transfer Payment Administrative Modernization Office of Ontario Government's Treasury Board Secretariat where I helped build the Transfer Payment Common Registration System. I have also worked with Amnesty International U of T for three years where I created marketing campaigns and digital content, which were also used by Amnesty Canada.
Why Digital Media?
It encompasses the ingredients necessary for adapting to human interaction in a digitally growing world.
