Biography:

Ingrid is a freelance photographer, photo archivist, digital imaging expert, and educator. She is passionate about using photography as a means of storytelling and visual communication and has been making images since she was old enough to hold a camera. Ingrid has also worked in the photography industry in various roles in product knowledge and research, marketing, photography instruction, and production.

Ingrid has also worked in the museum world with photography and art collections within public and private institutions in digitization, archiving and curatorial research. She is interested in the study of visual culture, the history of photography, as well as current trends in digital imaging and as a personal goal, hopes to create engaging digital content on these topics in the near future.

Ingrid is looking forward to going beyond photography to discover new opportunities in digital media.

Why Digital Media?

Ingrid hopes to enhance her digital media skills and explore new and emerging methods of digital storytelling. She is interested in how digital media can be used to engage audiences and create meaningful narratives and is equally interested in evaluating the impact of digital media on visual culture. Ingrid also believes that developing and implementing successful digital media strategies for arts and cultural institutions is essential to their relevance and success and would like to explore how digital media technologies can be applied to support exhibitions, curatorial programming, education, and public access and engagement.
