Biography:
Asma is a Toronto based Design Professor and Creative Director with a demonstrated history of working in the creative industry and higher education. Skilled in Transmedia Storytelling, Advertising, UX, UI, IxD, Design Thinking, Graphic Design and other emerging design and multimedia practices. She is currently a member of faculty at Toronto Metropolitan University, Western University and Humber College.
Asma has worked internationally and locally for more than a decade doing advertising and design. Her portfolio includes multinational brands such as Unilever and Nestle. She polished her flair for design during her bachelor’s in communication design at NCA, which is amongst the most prominent Art Schools in Asia. Her love of Interaction Design and Design thinking sprouted significantly from her experience in MDM. She continues to research after graduating.
Besides digital media, some of her interests that add soulfulness to her work are inclusive design, culture, teaching yoga, fine art and spirituality.
