Dr. Elham Mirzania, a pioneering scholar in the field of Chinese Language and Literature, holds a distinguished academic journey that began at Shahid Beheshti University in Iran and culminated with her Master’s and Ph.D. from Beijing University, specializing in Modern Chinese Literature. Recognized for her exceptional academic achievements, Dr. Mirzania was honored with the PKU International Students Academic Award during the time at Beijing University.
As the founding figure of the Chinese Language Department at Allameh Tabatabaei University in Tehran, Dr. Mirzania served as an influential educator, imparting invaluable knowledge of Chinese Language, Literature, and Culture to numerous students prior to relocating to Canada where she continues to inspire learners.
In addition to her contributions as an educator, Dr. Mirzania is celebrated for her scholarly endeavors; she has received prestigious accolades such as the Special Book Award of China for Young Scholars and was acknowledged by the China Writers Association as a “Friend of Chinese Literature” for her unwavering dedication to promoting Chinese literature abroad. Her profound expertise is showcased through various publications including "China Under the Pen of Persians," co-editing the esteemed Chinese-Persian Dictionary published by Beijing's Commercial Press, translating numerous books between both languages and contributing scholarly articles to eminent academic journals within China – all encompassing vast research areas such as sinology in Iran and Sino-Persian cultural relations.
