Book Launch for Judge Chile Eboe-Osuji, "End of Immunity".

Join us for a special evening in conversation with Judge Chile Eboe-Osuji.

In End of Immunity, the former International Criminal Court President and Judge unpacks the history and theory of the concept of immunity, and engages the timely and urgent issue of holding heads of state accountable for war crimes, genocide, and other crimes against humanity.

By delving into its historical evolution, from pre-World War I practices to the landmark Nuremberg trials, Judge Eboe-Osuji explains how the new rule of international law now precludes immunity even for heads of state, underscores its achievements and gaps, exposes the hypocrisies that perpetuate impunity, and offers workable solutions to close the deliberate loopholes used by government leaders to try and escape accountability for their atrocities. This insightful work is a crucial examination of the principles shaping international relations and the fight for global justice.
