Professor Joshua Sealy-Harrington honoured with an Excellence in Teaching Award at the University of Ottawa

Lincoln Alexander Law's Professor Sealy-Harrington has received an Excellence in Teaching award for his past work with the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law.
Professor Sealy-Harrington received a "Part-time Professor Award for Excellence in Teaching" - one of several internal awards established by the University of Ottawa's Office of the Vice-Dean Research. These awards aim to recognize the role of dedicated teaching, sustained and creative research and generous service to the community, the University and the Faculty of Law.
In a class about race and law, Professor Sealy-Harrington introduced "critical perspectives to the classroom, both through a broad array of written and audiovisual materials and an incredible selection of guest speakers that highlighted the voices of racialized scholars and experts. He never lost sight of the fact that the purpose of the classroom is to guide and nurture students," noted the university's administration.
"[I am] honoured to receive a Part-time Professor Award for Excellence in Teaching from @uocommonlaw (external link) , where I taught "Race, Racism and the Law" last semester. This award belongs not to me, but to the incredible students and brilliant guest speakers who I had the privilege to learn from.", Professor Sealy-Harrington tweeted.
