
Tracey L. Hamilton is Senior Litigation Counsel at Beneva Inc., specializing in disability and tort litigation. She brings extensive experience in civil litigation and insurance law, with a proven track record of appearing before the Ontario Court of Appeal, Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court, Human Rights Tribunal, and various other tribunals.
In 2023-2024, Tracey taught the inaugural Disability Law course at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law. A recognized speaker and writer in her field, she contributed a chapter to Canadian Insurance Defence (LexisNexis: 2024) and periodically publishes and presents on civil litigation and insurance law topics.
Tracey is actively engaged in the legal community. She is a member of the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers, Newsletter Co-Editor for the Insurance Law Section of the Ontario Bar Association, and a Civ Pro mentor at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law. Tracey also serves as a board member for a non-profit organization, where she leads the Governance Committee, and chairs a municipal tribunal.
Committed to mentoring and empowering Black youth, Tracey works to foster their success in law and beyond.
Tracey holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and a Master of Laws (LL.M. in Health Law) from Osgoode Hall Law School, as well as an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto.
