Ruby Egit

Ruby Egit is a partner at Branch MacMaster LLP. She is located in Toronto, Ontario and manages the firm’s Toronto office.

Ruby’s practice is focused on class actions and insurance law, including providing clients with advice on insurance coverage. She has trial and appeal experience and has argued many complex contested motions. She acts for clients across Canada.

Ruby also has considerable health law experience. She has worked with physicians, chiropractors and hospitals in a wide-variety of matters including civil actions, College complaints and billing audits. Ruby has also represented a number of long-term care homes in class actions and civil matters.

In addition to her work at Branch MacMaster, Ruby is a member of the Class Action Bench Bar Liaison Committee which develops practice initiatives to improve the conduct of class proceedings and facilitates communication between the class action bench and bar. Additionally, she is a Practitioner Mentor at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law where she regularly meets and coaches second year Law students in Civil Procedure. Ruby volunteers for Pro Bono Ontario.
