
Marni Dicker
Marni Dicker is currently Executive Vice President, Infrastructure and Chief Legal Officer for the Canadian Premier League. In this role, she spearheads the development of infrastructure that is critical to the continued growth of the Canadian soccer ecosystem. Additionally, Marni oversees the league’s legal affairs and works closely with the League Commissioner on expansion efforts.
Previously, she was Executive Vice President & General Counsel at Live Work Learn Play Inc., where she led the organization’s corporate and organizational growth, major infrastructure projects and anchor deal making on large scale real estate projects across Ontario and North America. The first in Ontario to structure a private GO station at Woodbine Racetrack under the new Transit Orient Development model, Marni was involved in all facets of mixed-use community development and the structuring of unique and innovative partnerships on mega projects.
Prior to that, she was Chief Commercial Officer and General Counsel at Infrastructure Ontario, where she was responsible for leading the Legal Services, Procurement, Transaction Finance, Commercial Projects, Business Strategy & Communications, Records Management, Insurance, Policy and Freedom of Information teams. Marni was also responsible for all of the organization’s board governance matters as Corporate Secretary. She also served as Vice Chair of the Investment & Risk Committee and the Alternative Financing & Procurement Steering Committee. Marni's previous positions included Senior Vice President, Business & Government Affairs and Corporate Counsel for SNC-Lavalin Inc. and working as a commercial litigation lawyer with two well-known Bay Street law firms.
Among other accolades, she has recently been inducted into the Urban Land Institute Hall of Champions, won the Canadian General Counsel Award for Business Achievement, been named among Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women, received Women’s Infrastructure Network’s Outstanding Leader Award, and won The Premier’s Award of Excellence from the Province of Alberta for the Calgary Courthouse Public Private Partnership Structuring. In addition, Marni is currently a Distinguished Visiting Scholar at Toronto Metropolitan University, where she devotes her time to the Faculty of Law.
Honing her expertise in governance, leadership and direction through her extensive work on boards, Marni is currently Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for Tarion Corporation and is a member of the Board of Directors of Create TO; Technical Standards and Safety Authority; Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare; and most recently to the IESO.
