Srinjoy Bhuiya

Srinjoy is currently pursuing a Master's in Computing Science at the University of Alberta. His education journey started in India, where he completed a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering. During his undergraduate studies, he had the chance to be involved in a variety of research projects, in the field of Computer Vision where gained some hands-on experience in the field of biomedical image analysis.

In 2022 he worked at the Laboratory of Translational Medicine of Toronto Metropolitan University, Ontario, Canada, as a research intern in the Mitacs Globalink research program. During this internship, he worked on a novel real-time segmentation model for tracking catheters on volumetric ultrasound images. In the past, he also has had the good fortune of benefitting from the Central Scholarship granted by the Government of India, supporting dedicated students with their academic expenses. He always tries to be enthusiastic about his academic pursuits, always open to learning, contributing, and growing in the world of technology.
