Along with teaching at the J-School, Sally is the instructional technologist for the Digital Learning team at the University's Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching. In this role,  she works on the design and development of multimedia learning materials for blended and online education, consults and develops resources for faculty and instructors interested in integrating technology in their teaching, and leads production for Digital Learning projects. 

For 17 years prior to this position, Sally served as part of the technical support team at TMU's School of Journalism. Her focus was demonstrating and designing visual storytelling through video, graphics, motion graphics, and infographic design.

From 2018 to 2019, she was also involved in designing and producing several FCAD initiatives including FCAD Level Up – a platform for students to expand their learning beyond the classroom, a new Digital Learning course beginning Summer 2020, and Accommodating Accommodation – a training course and resource for FCAD instructors.

In addition to her work at TMU, Sally was an editor at CBC, worked in the control room at The Weather Network, worked in the post-production industry and has taught production and post-production workshops at the Bishop Strachan School. As a freelance television features writer, her articles have appeared in daily and weekly publications across North America.
