RU Taking Care
The Medical Centre is always available if you are feeling ill, or need any sort of medical assistance.
Physical Health
Our physical health impacts how we feel, how we think, and how we move through the day. It’s an important component of well-being and the good news is, there are lots of ways to do it!
Consider getting consistent sleep, eating healthful and regular meals and being informed about sexual health.
Physical movement is also key. Join a fitness class, visit the Ryerson Athletic Centre (RAC) or Mattamy Athletic Centre (MAC), or go on a walk with friends around the neighbourhood with Mood Routes. There are lots of different options to match what you’re interested in.
Spiritual
Spiritual health includes an awareness of values, beliefs, and moral principles. It’s about the search for meaning, direction, and purpose in life. It can also be the sense of belonging that is greater than oneself. When we have a direction and strong sense of our values and morals, we can feel confident and fulfilled in our existence.
There are many ways to express and explore spirituality including meditation, dedication to a cause or ideals, or religion. If you practice a religion, consider joining a faith-based student group (external link) on campus or visit the multi-faith room in the Student Centre. (external link)
Social & Cultural
Making connections with others and finding grounding in culture is a crucial part of health. Taking the time to see friends and family and engage with communities that we identify with can fuel us.

How we feel has a big impact on how we live our lives. Recognizing, accepting, and taking responsibility for all our emotions is part of emotional wellness. Recognizing and considering others’ emotions is also a sign of wellness.
