About the organizers/team

The Indigenous Education Council (IEC) supports all faculties and departments at Toronto Metropolitan University in embedding Indigenouscontent into curricula.

The IEC believes that advancing truth and reconciliation requires every student to be educated about Indigenous and non-Indigenous relations in Canada. Through curriculum development, faculty support and research, the IEC works to expand courses on Indigenous histories, worldviews and contemporary issues while fostering a learning environment rooted in knowledge and respect.
