Gurneet Dhami - Facilitator

Gurneet Dhami is a facilitator for the Institute for Future Legislators.

She is a multidisciplinary professional with experience in youth engagement, anti-racism, and anti-poverty advocacy. She completed her undergraduate studies at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nutrition and Food with a minor in Sociology and is a current Master of Science at Mount Saint Vincent University on the path of becoming a dietitian.

As a politics enthusiast, she is no stranger to engaging with her local politicians along with advocacy groups through event organizing, social media communication and letter writing campaigns from Ontario to Nova Scotia. Her curiosity to engage in politics led Gurneet to virtually join the 2022 CanStudyUS fellowship to gain insight into US policy-making and multidisciplinary topics. Gurneet’s goal is to always demystify what leadership can look like by centring racialized communities and youth.
