Human factors and corporate strategy: An investigation into the relationship between human factors and business performance

Conventionally, ergonomics has been associated with health and safety; however, more recent work explores its potential to contribute to the overall strategic goals of an organization. This research investigates how ergonomic principles relate to profit drivers such as productivity, quality, flexibility, delivery reliability, cost minimization, and responsiveness to customer demands.
