Case Study: Emerson Power Systems, Theory & application

This case study, in the electronics sector, explored the relationship between production system design decisions and the resulting risk factor exposure of system operators. It was conducted in cooperation with a manufacturer in Sweden. Major system decisions included the use of automation (robotic assembly) and the adoption of serial flow assembly approaches.
