Congratulations to the recipients of the 2019 Dr. Liss Jeffrey Graduate Award
On Wednesday, September 18, 2019, a reception was held to celebrate the current and past recipients of the Dr. Liss Jeffrey Graduate Award.
This award provides financial support and recognizes the academic achievement of current Ryerson-registered doctoral students enrolled in the Joint Graduate Program in Communication & Culture whose research is in study of new media and/or the making of new media works.
The two projects honoured this year were Cyrus Sundar Singh's project, "Performing the Documentary: Redefining the Relationship Between the Storyteller and the Audience" and Peter Zakrzewski's project, "Designing the XR Medium: Five Rhetorical Perspectives for New Media Design."
The Jeffrey family, as well as past recipients, and ComCult faculty members were also in attendance.
We are grateful to the Jeffrey Family for their generous support of the Communication and Culture program.
