Paper Presentation, “ The Keepsake by Kate Elizabeth Bunce: A Pre-Raphaelite Allegory Cloaked in Hand-Crafted Arts and Crafts Symbols,” The Costume Society (external link) Conference, Birmingham, UK. July 6, 2019.
It was a wonderful experience to attend the Costume Society Conference as a delegate and to present my paper on Birmingham born artist, Kate Elizabeth Bunce. During the conference, I had the immense pleasure of meeting some of the most renowned fashion scholars such as Lou Taylor, whose books on fashion history are amongst the most cited by fashion and dress historians. I was also pleased with the incredibly positive reception of my paper and its subsequent mention in the Costume Society Newsletter.
The society's aim is to promote "the study of all aspects of clothing and textiles [and] to encourage access to costume history, including contemporary dress."
