Sima Saadi, PhD (she/her), is a distinguished scholar specializing in Geography, Human Planning, and environmental sustainability. Currently, she is the Geoffrey F. Bruce Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Politics & Public Administration at Toronto Metropolitan University. Her research focuses on geospatial and data analysis for freshwater policy development and urban water management in Ontario and Canada.

Dr. Saadi earned her PhD in Mobility, Transportation, and Cities from the University of Bourgogne in France and a PhD in Regional Planning from the University of Tabriz, Iran. Her academic background includes a Master’s in Geography and Human Planning from the University of Tehran, with a thesis on the role of border markets in the economic development of frontier area.
