
Dr. Shahram Sattar
Shahram received his BSc. in Geomatics engineering from Isfahan University in Iran, and his MASc and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Major in GIS Data Analysis) from Toronto Metropolitan University in Canada, where he is currently a Postdoc fellow collaborating to develop a cloud-hosted Digital Twin (DT) for the TMU campus. Geo-event detection, BIM/GIS integration, 3D Web-based GIS Dashboard Development, Network Analysis, AI and Machine Learning, Mobility Patterns, Predictive models, and Anomaly Detection Using GIS Technology and IoT Sensor Data are some of Shahram's areas of expertise and research. Prior to joining TMU, Shahram worked as a GIS data analyst in various engineering firms, participated in various industrial and municipal projects, and assisted stakeholders in leveraging GIS data analysis for all their Location Intelligence projects, including the City of Vaughan and Toronto, and TRCA.
