Dr. Monica Gagnon is a postdoctoral Research Fellow under the Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) in Migration and Integration Program led by Professor Anna Triandafyllidou. She researches the ways in which discourses of citizenship and belonging influence bordering in immigration and health policy and practice. Her work sits at the intersection of immigration and health care, focusing on Canada and the United States. Monica holds a PhD in public health from the University of Toronto and a MPH in health policy from the City University of New York.
