Dr. Mahdi Nekahi received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), an M.Sc. from Sharif University of Technology (SUT), and a B.Sc. from Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST).

As a Postdoctoral Fellow at TMU, Dr. Nekahi conducts research on the solid particle erosion of particle-reinforced polymer composites, developing numerical and experimental methods to model erosion behavior. In his role as a senior researcher, he actively mentors students and trains researchers from TMU, the University of Toronto, and the University of Waterloo, utilizing surface analysis tools like Sensofar 3D/Nanovea 2D optical profilometers, SEM, and Clemex particle sizing microscopes.

Previously, Dr. Nekahi worked on R&D projects at FUJIFILM VisualSonics Inc., WIMTACH, and other organizations, gaining expertise in numerical modeling, materials testing, product development, and quality assurance, bridging academic research and industrial applications.
