JD attended college at Carnegie Mellon University where he majored in mathematics and computer science before receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln under the supervision of Dr. Jamie Radcliffe. JD's Canadian life began in Winnipeg where he held a postdoc position working with Dr. Karen Gunderson at the University of Manitoba. He now works with the Graphs@TMU research group at Toronto Metropolitan University.
