
Arash Mahari
Dr. Arash Mahari is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Toronto Metropolitan University. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Power Engineering from University of Tehran, in 2020. His research interests include Power System Stability and Protection, Smart Grids and Microgrids, Substation Automation, and the Cyber-Physical Security of Substations.
He serves as an Associate Editor for the Elsevier e-Prime Journal. In addition, he has held reviewer roles for distinguished journals. He has also been honored as a member of the Iranian National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents.
His industry experience includes extensive management roles, overseeing large-scale engineering projects in substation design and power system studies across generation, transmission, and distribution. As a Director of Engineering and Project Manager, he led teams on various substation projects ranging from 20kV to 400kV and solar farms up to 10MW.
