
Dr. Anum Rafiq
Dr. Rafiq is a health services researcher with a focus on child/youth mental health, the Canadian education sector, intimate relationships, social determinants of health, and vulnerable communities. She has completed her MA and PhD in Health Policy & Equity, along with an MBA from the Ted Rogers School of Management. She is a researcher who is passionate about how policies and decisions made by people in power impact the lived experiences of others. She uses qualitative methods such as Institutional Ethnography, focus groups, and other participative action methodologies.
Along with holding a postdoctoral candidacy at Toronto Metropolitan University in the School of Early Childhood Studies, Dr. Rafiq is a transformative leader with over a decade of healthcare industry experience in Quality Improvement, Digital Transformations, Performance Management, Program Evaluation, and Systematic Change Management. Dr. Rafiq has also taught courses on Project Management, and health promotion.
