Graduate students are increasingly engaged in conducting evidence synthesis work in their programs, but may lack familiarity with the methodology. They may support faculty review projects (systematic reviews, scoping reviews, meta-analyses) as research assistants or co-authors, or conduct their own reviews for an MRP or thesis/dissertation or in a course.

This session will discuss the different types of reviews, how to select the right review for the task at hand, and some of the challenges evidence synthesis projects pose for graduate students. Advanced searching techniques and strategies required for reviews will also be discussed.

Instructor: Cecile Farnum, TMU Liaison Librarian
