At this workshop, TMU librarians who have expertise in scholarly publishing and open access (OA) will address the issues surrounding the larger scholarly publishing framework.

Please join us for a discussion which will focus on:

  • The Tri-Agency Open Access Policy on publications and data
  • Bibliometrics problematics
  • Open access publishing and the difference between green, gold, and hybrid open-access publishing, publishing fees and embargos
  • Terms of publisher contracts, what they allow, and limitations
  • What is predatory publishing and how to identify it.

This webinar is brought to you by the TMU Libraries in partnership with the Yeates School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

TMU graduate students and postdocs from all disciplines are invited to attend! This session qualifies for the Future Smart program.
