Difficult conversations can be a reality in graduate school and beyond. In this workshop, you will identify your style in approaching conflict. You will also learn communication strategies for navigating difficult or “hot” moments and sensitive dialogues. These strategies will help you navigate challenging conversations and resolve and prevent conflict wherever possible.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this workshop, participants will have gained the following:
- Insights into their conflict resolution style;
- Solutions to conflict through communication techniques;
- Experience integrating and utilizing effective communication skills in a relevant situation of conflict.
- Knowledge of how to set boundaries when exploring conversations involving markedly different worldviews or perspectives.
Light refreshments will be served.
