Course Selection and Course Registration instructions

The last day to add/swap classes for the Fall 2024 term is Friday, September 13, 2024.

Given that DS8002 Machine Learning is a prerequisite course for almost all courses in the Winter term, all students should make sure that DS8002 is one of the courses they enroll in for the Fall term. For more informaton about suggested timepaths and courses/milestones required for graduation for the three program options, please review information in Program Options. Please note that Thesis option students will be automatically enrolled by the program in DS8016 Directed Study in Fall and Winter terms.

Part-time students cannot enroll in more than two courses per term (with exclusion of the Winter term when they can add DS8012 Research Skills seminar in addition)

Students may change course registration AFTER they are enrolled in courses (as shown in the Student Centre in MyServiceHub) up to certain date. Refer to the information stated in the chart below for the appropriate deadline indicated for adding and/or dropping a course in a term.

If a student is enrolled in a course that s/he is not attending, a failure grade will be assigned in the end of the academic term. For the final date to drop a course in a term and how you may drop a course, refer to the section below.
