Appointment Schedule in Google Calendar
As of April 6, 2022, Google has launched the Appointment Schedule (external link) feature to Google Calendar for all Google Workspace users. This feature, in addition to Appointment Slots, allows users to share their availability via booking page, which can be used by external stakeholders, clients and partners to schedule time.

This feature is currently available.
Who has access
All users have access to this feature. However, if you have used Appointment Slots previously, you must turn on this feature at Calendar settings.
Why you would use it
As with Appointment Slots, Appointment Schedule can be used to create office hours for instructors and create appointments for staff for external contacts or stakeholders.
Appointment Schedule adds more features to Appointment Slots:
- Add reminder emails and change when they are sent out to prevent no shows
- Be able to add buffer time (or free time) between appointments
- Set flexible appointment durations
- Add a custom question to your booking form
- Able to add Google Meet to the appointments, with each appointment having its own Google Meet URL, for virtual appointments
- Improved user experience on booking page
