Updates for Google Hangouts Meet
Three new features have arrived to Google Hangouts Meet:
Ability to use your phone for audio in a video meeting
You can use your phone for audio on Hangouts Meet calls to ensure you have consistent and reliable audio quality, even if your network connection is poor, or if your computer’s microphone and speaker aren’t working. You’ll still be able to share and see video and presentations in the meeting.
Record your video meetings
You can now recording your video meetings in Hangouts Meet. Anyone in the meeting internal to Ryerson will be able to start and stop the meeting and all meeting participants will be aware that a recording is taking place. Recordings are saved to a “Meet Recordings” folder in the Drive of the meeting organizer and the recording is automatically attached to the Calendar event and shared with all invited guests.
Live streaming your video meetings is available to faculty and staff
As a meeting organizer you can now enable live streaming of your video meeting. You can create a separate view-only event for your audience through Google Calendar. Live streaming capabilities are only available to faculty and staff.
