More Controls for Meeting Creators using Google Meet

By: Computing and Communications Services (CCS)
March 31, 2020

To improve the remote learning experience for faculty, instructors and students using Google Meet, meeting creators now have more control over their video conference.

The 'mute' and 'remove' features in Google Meet will only be available to users who create the meeting or own the Calendar event the meeting was created in.

This update will ensures participants in a video conference cannot remove the organizer or each other and also that they will not be able to mute other participants such as the speaker in a video conference.
