Important: Upgrade your Google Drive for Mac/PC

As of July 1, 2016, Google Drive will no longer support sync client versions 1.22 and lower. These versions are now over a year old and they do not include several performance, reliability, and security features that have been added to recent versions.

It appears that some users may have one of these old versions installed on their PC/Mac. For this reason, we recommend that you upgrade the version of your Google Drive for your device as soon as possible. Learn how to install Google Drive on your Mac or PC (external link, opens in new window) .

After July 1, 2016, users who are still on versions 1.22 and lower will no longer be able to sync files between Drive and the local storage using Drive for Mac/PC.
