Excellence in scholarly, research and creative activity has been fundamental to our evolution as a comprehensive innovation university. Toronto Metropolitan University will continue to build a culture that drives innovation across all sectors, and fosters inquiry, discovery, knowledge and creative works. The university has attracted a 65% increase in researching funding over the last five years. We are home to 20 Canada Research Chairs, several endowed Chairs in select areas, and a wide variety of research-intensive Centres and Institutes. We have outperformed all other undergraduate-focused universities in producing peer-reviewed academic publications; an increase of 764% over the last 15 years.
