Congratulations to James Temple, 2007 graduate of Geographic Analysis (opens in new window) , on receiving one of the university's alumni achievement awards!

James Temple is recognized for his leadership in holding corporate boards and leadership teams accountable to stakeholders by embedding Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles into their purpose, values and operations to drive greater trust and transparency.  As a groundbreaker in the Canadian sustainability and philanthropy movements, James has testified before the Senate of Canada’s Special Committee on the Charitable Sector and served on numerous prestigious boards, notably the Philanthropic Foundations of Canada, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada and the Vancouver Foundation. He has earned numerous accolades, including a Government of Canada Volunteer Award, and was named one of the world’s Top 20 Chief Sustainability Officers to Know by Climate Insider and a Top 100 Global Sustainability Leader by Sustainability Magazine.
