Stephanie Law

Biography

Stephanie (she/her) is the middle child of immigrant parents, who were somewhere between supportive and ambivalent when she declared she wanted to pursue a career in the arts. After completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Screenwriting & Production at York University, she dove head first into the screen-based media industries, hustling for production companies, film festivals, and arts non-profit organizations. She is fond of telling people she is a recovering serial intern.

Five years ago, she landed on the shores of Toronto Metropolitan University, where she has served the Image Arts community and amazing students.  While she is taking the very long journey across the street to the Heidelberg Centre, she is still full of energy and excited to join the GCM Family to serve as Academic Coordinator. On a personal level, she enjoys time in nature (aka forest therapy) and creative writing (when she is not procrastinating).
