Biography

Dr. Krzysztof (Kris) Krystosiak is an assistant professor in the School of Graphic Communications Management at Toronto Metropolitan University, since July 1st, 2022. Kris earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology (Poland).

Kris possesses major expertise in the printing industry, proven by over 16 years of employment in various roles, from machine operator to six other job positions in management, quality, technology, and R&D. At the same time, Kris completed 3 levels of higher education, including his PhD.

He also possesses practical knowledge of data mining and machine learning techniques and their application in industrial processes. "Statsoft" and the Polish Statistical Association awarded his PhD thesis for the best thesis with the application of data mining tools.

Recent research in Industry 4.0/Smart Manufacturing technologies and Sustainability Development practices in the Canadian package printing industry. Implementation of data mining and machine learning techniques in manufacturing processes.
