Financial Advising

Attention TMU students

Students requiring help with OSAP, bursaries, awards, tuition fees and refunds can direct questions to the Registrar Office’s Service Hub.

Faculties and departments can find financial management advice, support and assistance through our Client Advisory Services department.

Research accounting and managing research grants is the responsibility of Financial Services, Research Accounting. If you require assistance, please contact your research financial analyst.

What we do

Budget administration and financial management

Development of annual department base budget documents;
Resource for unit budget owners on university financial and budget processes; and
Designing department specific financial reports.

Financial monitoring and compliance

Shared accountability with units to external funding agencies/sponsor for financial reporting; and
High level financial monitoring of funds to assist with units in ensuring financial integrity
Assist to provide early warning of plan and budget deviations.

Training and advice

Providing strategic advice and assistance on fund management; and
Conducting training to financial personnel in units on budget management.
