Lesley Hampton

Anishinaabe artist and designer Lesley Hampton has built her fashion brand on a foundation of inclusivity and community. In the summer of 2020, she began selling floral print cotton masks in a variety of colours. The colourful print on these masks imitating the appearance of traditional Indigenous beading designs. Symbolic in the practice of beadwork and reflective of the ongoing pandemic, this print evokes cultural significance through the importance of community, Indigenous identity, and healing.1
